Purpose of Position: To support the Manager and Financial Analysts Financial Services Airports in the management of costs and financial issues related to the following departments: Airports, Inflight, Charters, Business Development, Contracts and Real Estate.
Key Responsibilities: Support the month-end close process by preparing accruals for major airport expenses, importing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and ensuring expenses are properly reflected in the general ledger;
Manage all operational accrual working papers and provide feedback to Finance staff on a monthly basis ensuring balances are supportable and appropriate;
Support the Financial analysts in the preparation of explanations for monthly, quarterly and annual variance reports;
Prepare and distribute spending review packages to airports management.
Provide support to the operations group on financial inquires and liaison with accounts payable as required.
Support the budget and outlook process by planning and preparing necessary feedback on rates and activity;
Establish and maintain the financial relationship with Airport Authorities in self invoicing of fees and monthly activity reports;
Assist in inter company account management and vender reconciliation.
Coding of invoices related to airport operations, Landing and Terminal Fees.
Promote an open, honest and supportive work environment;

Other related duties as assigned;
Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, the safety of co-workers and customers.
Qualifications: Preference given to towards those working towards a Bachelor of Commerce Degree or equivalent with emphasis on accounting.
Two years financial experience in the airline industry is an asset.
Must be versed in Microsoft Office products, with an advanced knowledge of Excel.
Knowledge of Epicor and Hyperion an asset.
Ability to work well under pressure is a necessity due to various deadlines.
Must exhibit a positive attitude, excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable communicating with all levels of employees throughout the organization.
Driven to excel in a high-quality, client service environment.
Some overtime will be required in order to meet reporting deadlines.
