Sky Regional is currently recruiting a Crew Planning & Scheduling Analyst based at 6120 Midfield Road, Mississauga but with occasional business travel to other sites
Reporting Structure:
This position reports to the CSO and Director, Crew Management
Job Summary:
Analysis and optimization of the Crew Management Department to provide day-to-day guidance to department to drive high crew satisfaction through efficient and desirable pairings, productive rosters and efficient operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Identify risks to the department & Proactively create solutions to mitigate risks;
• Provides forecast planning and management of Crew Management functions at Sky Regional;
• Ensure Operational targets are met and KPI’s are reviewed regularly to achieve service level targets through monthly reports;
• Identify potential areas of automation and efficiency that can be achieved from recommendations for systems enhancements;
• Implement other best practices for planning and scheduling that will result in efficiencies and cost savings;
• Identify and drive initiatives to increase crew satisfaction;
• Support Director, Crew Manager/CSO on IT initiatives;
• In conjunction with the Director, develop and implement departmental projects and initiatives;
• Configure and supervise the functioning of the Crew Management system (Merlot) to ensure that operations are fully compliant with all imposed regulations and company policies from a Crew Scheduling Perspective;
• Working understanding of key features of all current software programs and stay on trend of new features/program to improve efficiency in the department;
• Oversees pairing optimization process to ensure efficient and desirable pairings for crews & maximize crew satisfaction;
• Identify opportunities to improve schedule build process to reduce manual overhead, increase utilization of planning staff and improve crew schedule satisfaction;
• Continual analysis of crew compliments to ensure balanced crew & hours between bases;
• Works in conjunction with Crew Payroll to prepare and report on monthly crew efficiency reports;
• Analyzes monthly statistical reports to identify cost saving opportunities through improved crew utilization. Implement strategies and processes to ensure cost savings are realized;
• Investigates concerns and complaints by crew members, regulatory & qualifications, crew schedulers and the SMS Reporting Group;
• Other duties as assigned to support the operation.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role is preferable;
• Authorized to live and work in Canada;
• Must be minimum 21 years of age as required by Transport Canada.
