Vice President, Business Development and Service Quality

The Saskatoon Airport Authority (SAA) manages, operates and develops the John G. Diefenbaker International Airport (YXE). As Saskatchewan’s busiest airport, we welcome approximately 1.5M passengers annually at growth rates of over 6%. Currently completing a $53M Air Terminal Building expansion project, it is an exciting time in SAA’s history as we grow our business to accommodate strong and sustained demand for air travel.

SAA is guided by a vision to be Canada’s most valued airport experience. Integral to our strategy is an imperative to grow air service and offer exceptional services to our guests. The Vice President Business Development & Service Quality (‘Vice President’) is a new role that will lead the organization in generating revenue from aeronautical and non-aeronautical sources and enhancing passenger services.



Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President will integrate SAA’s marketing and branding efforts through all revenue streams. As a member of the Executive Management Team, the Vice President works closely with all team members in planning the short and long-term direction and guiding the strategic planning to successfully achieve corporate targets. This position has full responsibility for the SAA’s revenue centre including the planning and execution of strategic initiatives to deliver in accordance with defined performance targets and best-practice policies.

A visionary and proactive thinker, the Vice President will oversee the development and implementation of strategies to increase the number of flights and destinations and continuously improve airport service quality including the management of the Airport Marketing Plan.

The successful candidate will lead and manage the efforts to grow revenue from all non-aeronautical sources including parking, concessions, advertising, vehicle rentals, the attraction and retention of Air Terminal Building (ATB) tenants and land lease tenants at the airport including all commercial lands. The primary objective of the Vice President is to maximize revenue in a manner that is consistent with the SAA brand and the mission, vision and values while strengthening the many critical long-term relationships with its various public and private stakeholders.
