Senior Manager Network Planning & Airline Partnerships

Duties and Responsibilities Interested candidates should be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Contribute to a work culture such that maximizing revenue and optimizing capacity planning are key.
  • Oversee short term planning of the operating schedule, including allocation of adhoc flying (charter/freighters).
  • Analyze and optimize route capacity vs. demand and develop methodologies to forecast passengers and cargo volume.
  • Research route performance results and identify initiatives to reduce operating costs and increase profitability (e.g. cost reductions, increased efficiency, new market trends, route opportunities).
  • Coordinate day-to-day partnerships with other airlines, including codeshare partners.
  • Lead cross-departmental teams in working with various departments within the Company to successfully define and develop airline partnerships.
  • Setting and owning KPIs for partners' revenue sales.
  • Developing reporting tools to measure the profitability of airline partners.
  • Solicit and negotiate revenue passenger interline ticket & baggage agreements.
  • Act as liaison between the Company and interline partner(s) during irregular operations, customer service issues, baggage resolution.
  • Assist with training staff on proper interline handling of tickets and baggage as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with IATA regulations governing interline agreements.
  • Manage codeshare implementation projects.
  • Assist in developing the overall strategic direction of the Company.
  • Manage (cross-departmental) strategy implementation projects.
  • Act as an active member of the Emergency Response Team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
  • 3 year University degree with a focus on a Business related topic preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years experience in the airline industry with a strong emphasis on network planning and airline partnership management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior diplomatic skills.
  • Superior analytical skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong Sabre reservation skills.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the markets the Company and partner airlines operate in.
  • Enthusiasm for making a positive impact to the Company and the airline partner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent Project Management skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in full MS Office.
  • Cross-functional assignments in a dynamic and international environment desirable.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines with high work load.
  • Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
