Reporting to the Associate Director, Business Development, Partnerships & Advertising, this position is responsible for strategic analysis, marketing and sales with the objective to grow the GTAA’s non-aeronautical revenue by establishing new partnerships and increasing sales from existing accounts. The position is also responsible for establishing the framework for all opportunities related to advertising, sponsorship, and partnerships including traditional mediums, and identifies new business opportunities – new markets, new partnerships, and new ways to reach existing markets, or new product or service offerings to better meet the needs of existing markets. The position is critical in the development and implementation of the GTAA’s overall advertising and sponsorship strategy.
Job Description Key Accountabilities:
- Identify, recommend and build relationships with strategic partners that align with the GTAA’s overall vision for creating a positive passenger experience
- Assist with development, forecasting and reporting of annual departmental budget
- Responsible for the overall management and leadership of the team on all day-to-day servicing of in-terminal advertising
- Maintain and grow knowledge of out of home, and sponsorship/partnership industry and best practices
- Manages direct report(s) by assigning work, monitoring progress / performance and providing input and guidance as required, identifying training needs and assisting staff in career planning and professional development
- Identify prospective clients via targeted lead research within an assigned market
- Develop a continuous pipeline of leads to generate new business opportunities/revenue on a quarterly and annual basis
- Work closely with the Account Manager on overall management and day-to-day servicing including: annual partner plans, business opportunities, key areas of focus, brand insights strategic planning, revenue growth targets and all operations necessary to profitably retain, grow and service the customer
- Assist in drafting, revisions and execution of sponsorship contracts
- Maintain an ongoing understanding of each partner’s business and competitive environment
- Assist in preparation and execution of research initiatives, as required
- Become an expert on our products, partners and the markets in which the GTAA competes
- Ensure an excellent working relationship with all other departments and groups working on partner business
- Prepare new business presentations, as required
- Responsible for being a customer centric leader with respect to the Mission, Vision, Values and Beliefs
Job Requirements Qualifications:
- Must have a post-graduate degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Communications, Advertising or other related field (an equivalent combination of work and experience will also be considered)
- MBA an asset
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in people management
- Must have minimum five (5) years’ of functional work experience in marketing, advertising, or partner-program development
- Must be able to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance
