Line Service Technician YEG – Edmonton

Located at more than 100 airports around the globe, all of our locations provide premium flight support services including fueling, hangar space, and ground handling.

Signature Flight Support Edmonton is looking to fill a part time Line Service Technician position to support our growing operation. 

We provide safety and security around the parked aircraft, load and unload baggage, direct all arriving and departing aircraft to and away from the hanger, operate and maintain ground and gate equipment and vehicles, service the aircraft, and remain in communication with pilots. In addition we deliver and fuel aircraft.


Duties and Responsibilities

• Fuel aircraft
• Aircraft marshaling
• Loading & unloading passengers.
• Interior and exterior aircraft cleaning.
• Operating ground vehicles 
• Loading and unloading of baggage and freight.
• Transferring & distribution of baggage.
• Servicing of aircraft lavatories as required.
• Handling commissary supplies. 
• Tie down & general security of aircraft.
• Coordinate and support the delivery of services: fueling and de-icing of aircraft.

Qualifications 

• Candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Candidate must have at least one year of experience working on the ramp. 
• Candidates will be bondable and possess a valid driver's license. 
• Must be able to obtain Airport Security Clearance as a condition of employment.

Work Conditions

• Able to lift 50 pounds and lift or pull heavy objects throughout the job..
• Work a flexible or rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be physically fit, able to climb ladders and may be required to climb onto the plane’s wings to reach the fuel system. Must also have good hearing and eyesight.
• Employee may be required to work in potentially hazardous environments requiring protective equipment.
• Employee may be exposed to dust, hazardous chemicals and high levels of noise.
