Reporting to the Manager, Passenger Experiences, the Senior Representative, Passenger Experiences, is responsible for implementing initiatives that improve the passenger environment, as well as experiential programs and amenities that support the achievement of GTAA objectives and Toronto Pearson brand objectives. The incumbent will demonstrate passion for our passengers by ensuring that all Toronto Pearson led activities and programming in the terminals resonates with passengers by being relevant, impactful and scalable.
Job Description Key Accountabilities:
- Manages and implements communications and marketing campaigns, projects and events that support retail, dining and parking commercial activities and drive increased sales, create awareness, and improve passenger perceptions of Toronto Pearson
- Develops and manages promotional programs including activations, experiential marketing events, tactical promotions and communications programming elements with both internal and external stakeholders in support of Passenger Experience marketing activities to drive improved perceptions of the airport
- Supports development and delivery of strategic and creative briefs, campaign/plan development and market-launch for passenger-facing communications
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop communications plans that leverage the digital and social media space
- Leads the end-to-end development and distribution of the airport’s passenger facing printed and digital publication called AWAY magazine
- Leverages measurement tools to provide progress reports and insights while continually finding ways to improve on metrics through testing and new initiatives
- Manages the invoicing and budget associated with the all marketing, communications, experience programs including AWAY magazine
- Participates in the development of third party/sponsored activities such as Pan Am
- Develops and executes of all aspects of the Arts, Culture and Exhibition (ACE) programs including preparing and conducting RFPs and managing the installation of exhibits
- Develops, manages and implements the greenery components(internal and external) of the Toronto Pearson Brand Aesthetics program
- Manages brand aesthetics by working closely with designers, consultants and architects and is responsible for the translation of the brand in Terminal Aesthetics including seating, carpet, lighting, washroom design, etc
- Relationship Manager for Essentials Programs (Chapel and Traveler’s Assistance) partners and is responsible for developing and managing new and continuing relationships with partners
- Performs other duties such as special projects, assignments and reviews requiring the incumbent’s unique skills and experience.
Job Requirements Qualifications:
- A Post-Secondary degree or diploma in communications, marketing, business, advertising, journalism, social media, public relations or other related field.
- 5 years of experience developing and executing consumer marketing or promotional programs
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with customer/account service or monitoring the work of agencies or consultants.
- 1-3 years of experience in digital marketing which may include managing social media and/or digital platforms in a business environment, writing and crafting content for digital platforms/ social media.
- Minimum three (3) years in managing and/or implementing work plans and developing work back schedules;
- Must meet the security level designated for the position or must be able to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance
- Must have a valid Provincial Driver’s License.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong negotiation skills when dealing with stakeholders including agencies, artists, architects and consultants
- Excellent project management skills with an ability to respond to urgent requests in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines
- Demonstrated understanding of marketing fundamentals, channels, strategies and tactics
- Strong organizational skills to plan rotating programs while maintaining continuity of programming
- Demonstrated ability to write professional businesses cases and briefs
- Strong creative aptitude; creativity and initiative to proactively develop innovative programs
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to brand standards ensuring consistency utilizing a considerable attention to detail
- Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office with an understanding of Design and Publication based software such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Quark Xpress
- Demonstrated interpersonal and problem solving skills and ability to multi task
- An unrelenting commitment to customer service
- Experience in retail, dealer or multi-stakeholder marketing considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability in event planning and implementation considered an asset.
- Knowledge of contemporary art including local, regional and national, art, artists and art institutions considered an asset
