OVERALL OBJECTIVE: To manage the Operations teams to the highest level of productivity and performance. To create and maintain efficient operational processes for reporting, electronic distribution, and supplier interfaces, including GDS. To oversee the accurate and timely input and maintenance of TTS flight schedules and seat maps. The role will report to the Director of Operations (Tour Operations) and is located in Toronto.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Oversee loading of all Sunwing flights and schedules into TTS ensuring accuracy & timely input. - Oversee and manage all flight changes in TTS including schedule changes, flight cancellations, and consolidations, ensuring customers best interests are considered and ARCC’s are issued and actioned accordingly. - Drive operational efficiency and provide operational support for frontline teams. - GDS management including overseeing the filing of fares and schedules for Sunwing Airlines and ensuring bookable in multiples GDS (Sabre, Amadeus & Travelport). Review and approve all GDS associated invoices. - Conduct TTS upgrade and other applications testing for Operations including creating/maintaining testing scripts. - Recommend and create accurate Business Objects reports that support the department’s activity and objectives. - Documenting and implementing any change in operations processes as a result of system upgrades/additions/enhancements (TTS, ARCC etc.) and providing any required training. - On-going systems and process training of the Flight Administration and Passenger Care Support teams as required as well as offering a general support. - Oversee tourist card ordering, inventory, and payment where applicable. - Oversee Northbound Seat Sales, Flight Delay Hotel bookings, and QCM processes. - Review Service Reports (Destination Weekly Report) to monitor trends and determine resulting actions. - Hiring, training, motivation, evaluation and performance management of employees. - Payroll administration. - Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: - Previous experience supervising/managing a team of people. - A minimum of 3 to 5 years working experience for a Tour Operator or leisure travel company- preferably in an Operations role. - Self-motivated with effective time management skills, able to motivate and manage multiple teams and a varied workload. - Experience with process management and comfortable with a variety of systems. - Knowledge and experience with TTS, GDS (Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo, Apollo, Worldspan) and Business Objects is a valuable asset. - Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly organized and efficient, attentive to detail and able to multi-task.
ENVIRONMENT AND SCOPE: - Fast paced, deadline oriented work environment. - Works closely with Payload, Planning and Scheduling, Ground Operations/Airports, the OCC and Customer Support and must adapt to varying communication styles. - Must be flexible and adaptable to support a team that operates 24/7, 365 days.
