Reporting to the Flight Attendant Manager specific duties include: Ensure standard operating procedures are in compliance with Transport Canada requirements and Regional 1 Airlines Flight Attendant Manual. Work independently without supervision and work well with others in a team environment. Assist the Lead Flight Attendant in the execution of duties as outlined in the Flight Attendant Manual. Maintain Regional 1 Airlines Flight culture by delivering exceptional customer service and hospitality when serving meals, beverages and snacks. Compliance with uniform standards. Assist passengers with their needs, including stowing carry-on items which may include pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, lifting and carrying. Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers. Be accountable for cash handling. Causing no unnecessary delay to the departure of any flight. Maintenance of valid personal travel documents. React and respond accordingly to all emergencies. Manage and communicate to all crew members any unusual circumstances. Maintain a calm, dignified manner which will exude confidence and competence; Compatibility and teamwork with crew member colleagues and catering, commissary, airport and maintenance staff. Mature and dignified conduct on the aircraft whether working, deadheading or traveling as a passenger. Report to the Flight Attendant Manager any circumstances or malfunction of equipment they observe, or, which a passenger that may affect the safety of the flight may report. Willful withholding of such advice will be considered extremely serious. Carry personal copy of up to date Flight Attendant Manual on all flights while on duty. Qualifications: Must be minimum 21 years of age (required for the services of liquor). Must have a valid Canadian passport (must be able to meet Transport Canada Security Clearance program which requires the applicant to submit five (5) years' worth of adequate, reliable and verifiable information upon which a decision will be based). Clean criminal record. Must possess a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education is a definite asset). Ability to meet aviation medical standards. Ability to meet drug and alcohol testing requirements. Must be able to read and converse fluently in English (the ability to read and converse fluently in another language is an asset). Strong interpersonal skills. Safety minded. Adaptable. Ability to solve problems. Ability to take initiative. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to successfully complete the Performance Demands Analysis testing, ex: ability to reach emergency and essential equipment on board the aircraft. Vision must be correctable to 20/40. Must possess a valid driver's license. Selected candidates must successfully complete all required training, including prerequisite courses. Must be able to attain a red Restricted Area Pass Identification (RAIC) card. Experience: Minimum two (2) years customer service experience in a dynamic work environment.
