OUR LAND DEVELOPMENT TEAM
If you enjoy a collaborative environment surrounded by a hardworking and passionate team then you will be the right fit for our Land Development Team. This dynamic group is responsible for all non-terminal leases at our YYC and YBW campuses. Our YYC land area is comprised of over 5000 acres and we currently manage over 150 long term land development leases. Our YBW campus contains over a 1000 acres with over 50 long term land leases. We do everything from negotiate new developments deals to administer and manage our leases-so no day is the same!

WHAT WILL YOU DO
As part of our Land Development team, you will be exposed to the many different aspects of property management and land development. Primarily spending your time in an office environment where you will assist our managers with an array of tasks. There will also be some opportunity to visit various trade parks located at both our campuses.

Reporting to the Manager-Airport Lands some of your key responsibilities will be:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Update the Land Development files
  • Become familiar with ground leases
  • Undertake “Use” audit of all Springbank Airport ground leases
  • Create Land Development Photo Library
  • Update all tenant files maintained on our server
  • Update tenant list with current contact information
  • Coordinate development activities with affected tenants
  • Other projects as assigned
WHAT WILL YOU BRING
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • High- level understanding of leases
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Self-starter and have ability to work independently
  • Detailed oriented
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License or equivalent from another province, subject to drivers abstract review
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Property management experience considered an asset
Note: Students must be returning to school (post-secondary) in the fall to qualify for this position.
