Sunwing Airlines Inc. - Airport Duty Manager
OVERALL OBJECTIVE:
The Airport Duty Manager is responsible for the airport operation on a shift basis ensuring that service delivery conforms to regulatory, operational, safety and customer service standards. Liaises with Airport Authorities and third-party service providers ensuring that Sunwing Airlines ground handling requirements and customer service standards are met at all times. The role will report to the General Manager and will be located at Toronto Pearson Airport.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver outstanding performance in Airport and Passenger services at YYZ Airport, whilst managing relationships with relevant internal and external parties
- Ensure 3rd party resources are utilized in such a manner that maximizes opportunity for operational excellence and productivity
- Ensure that all airport activities are delivered safely and securely in compliance with WG and Regulatory standards
- Drive safe, efficient and timely execution of flight departure and arrival policies
- Manage and audit Service Level Agreements with Ground Handling Agencies
- Responsible for the maintenance of Emergency Response and Business Continuity plans
- Ensure that opportunities to optimize airport revenues are identified and delivered
- Ensure the Performance Management of team members is carried out in accordance with WG standards
- Ensure that all ground services business is delivered in accordance with the WG Values
- Responsible for the delivery of delay, disruption and diversion plans
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree level education is preferred or relevant industry experience
- Demonstrable sound knowledge of airport operations
- Customer service preferably gained in 5 to 10 years working experience with an airline or ground handling agency
- Ideally with 2 to 5years management or supervisory experience
ENVIRONMENT AND SCOPE:
- Capable to work in fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Flexibility to adapt and able to manage multiple assignments while working independently or as a team
- Able to work closely with customers, inter-departmentally, retail travel agencies and travel supplier partners
- Availability to work retail/call centre hours which includes day, evening, weekend and statutory holiday shifts
