Sky Regional Airlines is currently recruiting a Flight Dispatcher.

Job Description: Position: Flight DispatcherThe flight dispatcher coordinates and disseminates information concerning flight activity while establishing and maintaining a report with flight crews, airport management and company personnel.
Major Responsibilities:
• Preflight preparation and Flight Watch within assignment routes.
• Develop, review, authorize, issues and revise operational flight plans for all Sky Regional flights as required, inclusive of training and test flight operation.
• Determine operating conditions and requirements for each flight.
• Final flight planning including route analysis and calculation of fuel requirements.
• Analyze operational conditions and identify opportunities that may benefit, constrain or impede operational capabilities.
• Provide crew briefings.
• Communicate to Air Traffic Control Services all operational flight plan requirements.
• Report deviations from standard, which could impact schedule down line.
• Coordinate with maintenance control on any MEL items or aircraft issues.
• Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management Systems program to demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety.
• Other duties assigned and/or department specific.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Must have written and passed both Transport Canada Flight Dispatch Generic Exams.
• Must hold valid Air Operator Radio License.
• Must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant.
• Must be minimum 21 years of age as required by Transport Canada.
• Demonstrated good working knowledge of general computer and software applications.
• Demonstrated success in multi-tasking during high stress situations with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast paced dynamic environment.
• Flexible with the ability to work shift work.
• Demonstrated excellence in prioritizing and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated excellence in communication skills including ability to communicate in a clear, accurate, concise and professional manner.
• At least two (2) year dispatch experience in a (CARS 705) Type A or B operational control system preferred.
