The office of the Assistant Deputy Minister of Strategic and Business Services is looking for an individual who can coordinate and administer air charters for the Government of Alberta.


Reporting to the Manager, Air Charter Services, the Air Flight Administrator will be the first point of contact for all government requests for use of charter aircraft. The position will liaise with Executive Council offices, Minister's offices and government departments.

The successful individual will ensure that charter bookings are handled in a professional and timely fashion. This position is also responsible to ensure appropriate tracking, logging and reporting procedures are followed. The position will also involve administrative duties such as preparing Action Requests, briefings, contract administration, budget coordination and reporting.

Qualifications: A High School Diploma, plus at least 3 years of office administrative experience is required. Experience with Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, Outlook and knowledge of an electronic system to track outstanding work in progress (such as the GoA Action Request Tracking System (ARTS)) is preferred. Experience with a computer-based flight management system and 1-2 years of experience within the aviation business will be considered an asset.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to work independently and make quick decisions in order to prioritize tasks in an environment with changing priorities and deadlines. You will need to exercise your excellent communication skills in managing customer relations with stakeholders across the Government of Alberta.

Equivalencies will be considered on the basis of one year of experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.

Salary: $1,758.75 to $2,153.31 bi-weekly ($45,903 to $56,201 annually).
