    Northern Air Transportation Association administers the Kenn Borek Air Scholarship, which is in the amount of $4,000.00.  

    Criteria for eligibility includes students enrolled in an aviation program at an accredited post-secondary institution (such as BCIT) who are residents in Western or Northern Canada, specifically residency in either the Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, British Columbia or Alberta.  This scholarship is open to current Airline and Flight Operations Students.

    2019 has started off very well for Sabrina. She has been awarded an NWAAAE Scholarship, will start a new position with Jazz Aviation as a STOC agent on January 14, and is on-track to graduate from Airport Operations Class 23 on February 26.  

    This is great success, and well deserved.  As a student, Sabrina brought passion, energy and dedication to the table. She was engaged in many activities throughout the Airport Operations program, including the BC Aviation Council, the YVR FOD Walk, a Nanaimo Airport Tour, and the Boundary Bay Airshow to name a few.  She also had the opportunity to work with Jazz during her practicum, which allowed her to explore where her strengths and skills might provide a good fit to launch a successful career in aviation.
